FAQ’s
Q. What courses still have places available for 2020/21?
A. You can still apply to join the following courses this term. See How To Apply for more details:
BMus (Hons) in Popular Music Performance
BA (Hons) in Popular Music Performance and Production
Q. What student accommodation will be available at Resonance?
A. We’re developing a hall of residence close to our Cable Plaza campus. Because of the impact of Covid 19 on the building industry, the renovation of the building was put on hold for several months and we don’t anticipate it opening until next year.
However, please don’t worry if you need to find somewhere to live while you study at Resonance this year. We have several options and will be able to accommodate anyone who needs a place. If this is you, please get in touch at admissions@resonance-edu.org and we’ll get you sorted.
Q. Are you offering face-to-face teaching or is everything online?
A. At the moment the current Government regulations mean we can offer all the face-to-face teaching we had planned.
Obviously, if the advice changes, we may need to revise our teaching patterns, so keep an eye on this website and our social media feeds for the latest news. If you’ve signed up for updates from us, you’ll receive this information by email too.
Q. Are you still running open days and if so, when are they?
A. Yes – we’re not doing group open days but we’re running personal open days at our Cable Plaza campus where you can book to visit in person along with a couple of people from your household. If you can’t come in person you can sign up for a virtual open day which will be conducted online, one-to-one with one of our leadership team. To find out more and book an open day, visit our open days page.
Q. How do I apply for student finance for Resonance?
A. If you’ve been offered a place at Resonance you can apply for your finance in the usual way via the Student Finance website. However, ‘Resonance’ will not appear as an option when searching for your UCAS course codes. This is because our degrees are validated by Solent University and you need to use their course codes.
When prompted, you need to search for Solent University or use the Solent UCAS code which is S30. Then just select the course you’re taking from the drop-down menu. Solent’s course names are identical to ours but don’t worry, your offer is to study at Resonance and this is not affected by your student finance application.
If you’re still having problems, just email us at admissions@resonance-edu.org or call us on 0300 555 1800.
Q. How do I keep up to date with all the news from Resonance?
A. The easiest way is to sign up for our emails here. You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and keep an eye on our news page. Don’t forget we also have a YouTube channel too.
