On Thursday 25th of April, Resonance students were the headlining acts in their latest assessed performance at local venue Red By Night. As part of their assessment, our first and second-year students formed four bands; each band chose songs from different decades to perform, and came up with their own staging, costume choices and band names.

Resonance performs with DPA at Symphony Hall
On Sunday 10th March 2024, some of Resonance’s staff and students joined our friends at Dudley Performing Arts (DPA) as they held a series of concerts at the Symphony Hall, Birmingham. The day-long event, called Dudley Goes to Symphony Hall, consisted of many music performances by young people from across the Dudley borough. Due to its large scale, the planning stages for the event began early last year, with the final concerts having around 1000-1500 participants in total. Resonance students were given the opportunity to take part alongside DPA’s students and showcased their skills as musicians with vocal, drum, violin and piano performances.

Resonance Graduate Annabel Roberts on New Single “Falling For You”
At Resonance we think it’s important that our students have an ongoing goal in mind for what they’d like to accomplish when they graduate. Whether it’s through developing their identity as an artist, refining their instrumental and production skills, or understanding the presence they want to establish in the industry, a new journey begins once our students become graduates. Today we’d like to highlight an artist from our first delegation of graduates, Annabel Roberts AKA BELLAMIX, who has recently released her first single Falling For You across streaming platforms.
Alexander Jones on Brierley Hill Song Book
Working within local communities has always been an important aspect of the music industry; it keeps our venues thriving and small movements can make waves. Making his own splash in the local scene is one of our third-year students, Alexander Jones, who recently took part in the Brierley Hill Song Book Project. The project was part of Brierley Hill’s Cultural Consortium activities and focused on making music inspired by the local area. After workshops, rehearsals, a recording session and two live performances, we spoke to Alexander to find out how he felt about his experience working alongside other local artists.
