STUDENT SUPPORT
All students at Resonance can count on the best possible educational experience during your time here.
The opportunities and training provided will be demanding and, at times, stressful. This may lead to moments of tension – physical, mental and emotional.
You can be sure your wellbeing is of prime importance to us – it influences everything we do to shape a supportive and nurturing environment. So we have a number of support services and policies covering funding, careers and employability, chaplaincy, counselling, student affairs, key academic skills, disability support and general advice. Further details will be available in your Student Handbook.
All students will have an introductory session with the Student Welfare Officer during induction week and have the opportunity to book 1-2-1 confidential appointments at any time during the academic year.
Students who have a disability and/or specific learning difficulty may be eligible for the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA). This may be used to fund specialist software, 1-2-1 study skills tuition and mentoring.
Students wishing to apply for DSA funding, and in need of help, should contact the Student Welfare Officer. Once a student is in receipt of DSA funding, the Student Welfare Officer will help make any recommended adjustments.
